STRATEGI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER MELALUI APEL PAGI UNTUK MEMBENTUK GOOD CITIZEN DI SMK NEGERI 2 SUKOHARJO

Abstract

Abstract. The research aims to find out: 1) Character education strategies carried out through apel pagi at SMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo; 2) The impact of apel pagi on the character of students at SMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo for the formation of good citizens; 3) Barriers and solutions in the formation of good citizens through apel pagi at SMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo. This research uses a qualitative approach, a type of descriptive qualitative research. Data sources were obtained from informants, places and events, as well as documents and archives. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, and document analysis. The validity of the data uses technical triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis uses an interactive analysis model. Conclusion of research results: : 1) Apel pagi strategy implemented at SMK Negeri 2 Sukoharjo by: a) Habituation; b) Structured with the schedule of the guidance coach and the picket teacher; c) There is presence, examination and sanctions, and it involves all students and school organizations. 2) Through this strategy has an impact on the formation of students' good attitudes that manifest from religious values, honesty, discipline, mutual cooperation and responsibility. 3) Obstacles that occur include: a) Discipline is the presence of students who are late because the house is far away and depends on public transportation b) The time of the completion of the apel pagi past 7 am c) The incomplete apel pagi material, should be about nationalism, but in the apel pagi also delivered material about the law that is orderly in traffic and vehicles must be standard in accordance with the rules. 4) The solutions made include: a) Imposing sanctions for students who are late; b) Effectiveness of the time of apel pagi activities so as not to pass 7 o'clock in the morning; c) Giving nationalism material during ceremonies on national days.
