STRATEGI GURU UNTUK MENGATASI KESULITAN BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL URAIAN PADA MATA PELAJARAN PPKn

Abstract


Abstract. The objectives of this study were to 1) determine the difficulties of students in solving questions in the form of descriptions of PPKn subjects in SMA Batik 2 Surakarta; 2) knowing the factors that cause students' difficulties in solving questions in the form of descriptive tests for PPKn subjects in SMA Batik 2 Surakarta, and 3) knowing the PPKn teacher strategies that were carried out to overcome the difficulties of students in solving questions in the form of descriptive tests for PPKn subjects. This study uses a qualitative research approach—data collection techniques using interviews, observation, a document study, and questionnaires. The results of the study can be concluded as follows: 1) The difficulties of the students in solving the essay test were: (a) the students' unusual behavior when working on the questions; (b) the low learning achievement of students in PPKn subjects; (c) difficulties in understanding the material regarding the articles contained in statutory regulations, as well as questions of form for analysis and personal opinions. 2) The factors that cause students' difficulties in solving questions in the form of essay tests are internal factors and external factors. 3) PPKn teacher strategies to overcome the difficulties of students in solving questions in the form of essay tests include: (a) approaching students; (b) provide remedial or remedial teaching to students whose scores are less than the Minimum Passing Criteria (KKM); (c) provide repetition of the material (enrichment); (d) provide motivation to learn continuously; (e) develop habitual attitudes and good learning styles.
