Reaktualisasi Makna Pancasila sebagai Dasar Negara dalam Polarisasi Politik 2025: Analisis terhadap Aksi Mahasiswa

Abstract


The intensifying political polarization in 2025 poses a serious challenge to the interpretation of Pancasila as Indonesia’s state ideology. This study was chosen because student actions provide the most tangible arena to observe how Pancasila is tested and rearticulated amid a fragmented political landscape. Historically, student movements have also served as indicators of democratic vitality, making their analysis academically significant. Previous studies have examined the relationship between Pancasila and political polarization, yet this research offers novelty by highlighting how students reactualize Pancasila through public critique, digital discourse, and collective advocacy. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach with directed content analysis. Data were collected from academic literature, online media reports, student organization statements, and documentation of actions, analyzed thematically to capture emerging patterns of meaning. Findings indicate that students position Pancasila as an ethical foundation for evaluating democratic practices affected by polarization. Values of social justice, popular sovereignty, and national unity guide their critique. These results demonstrate that the younger generation can revitalize Pancasila’s relevance through collective action, political participation, and the production of critical discourse in the public sphere
